Project:  Handbook on Human Resource Good Practices in Caribbean Tourism

We gathered nominations from Caribbean stakeholders, interviewed selected businesses to be profiled and wrote articles based on the interviews.   The handbook will be available to the public in the near future.

Project: Tourism Human Resource Capacity Building Program for the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO)

SSG team members reviewed the core curricula of primary, secondary and tertiary level institutions across the region and made recommendations to standardize tourism curriculum; designed a regional information facility for tourism human resources; developed and validated a strategic plan for the CTHRC; and facilitated a Caribbean tourism learning system workshop with education and industry.

Client: The Caribbean Tourism Credentialing Project

Project: Certification for Tourism and Hospitality Professionals (CARIBCERT)

The project team developed and validated occupational standards in 45 occupations, and created a credible and sustainable industry-driven system to register, assess and certify trainees and employees.  The system is web-based and duplicated in paper processes.  Over 700 Caribbean tourism industry professionals had input to the development of the system.

Project: Credentialing for Tourism and Hospitality Professionals

Team members worked closely with industry and education stakeholders throughout the Caribbean to design, develop and implement a credentialing system for professional recognition in the Caribbean tourism industry.  Credentialing will encompass the recognition of work experience, training, education and life experience.
